I am requesting your help in reporting observations and locations of Black
Vultures that we tagged last week in Martinsburg, WV. I expect these tagged
vultures will also show up in Virginia. I am working with WV USDA Wildlife
Services, the Argos cement plant, and West Virginia National Guard to study
the response of Black Vultures to management actions intended to both reduce
damage they cause at Argos and reduce their use of the Eastern West Virginia
Regional Airport. They damage roofs at Argos and their presence is a risk
to private and Air National Guard aircraft. We are monitoring the damage
site in Martinsburg, WV, but need additional observations away from this
