Hey everyone!
As the list seems to know by now, I found a Townsend's Solitaire this
morning around 9:16am according to my phone.? The bird was present only
for about 3 minutes.? It perched twice on the north side of the
overlook, where I took the photos.? It then flew across the road
briefly and headed south down the parkway.? The photos were digibinoed
and not "killer" as Tad was describing to people over the phone.? I
believe they are "good enough." They are posted on my good friend Bill
Hubick's webpage.? Thanks to Bill for providing that service and please
checkout his photos of birds which are much better than anything I can
produce.

Since the bird flew south, I'm not sure what to recommend to people
who'd like to search for it tomorrow.? There is a possibility that the
bird could be roosting at Harvey's Knob and will reappear tomorrow
morning.? There is a(n) (equal?) possibility that it will continue down
the parkway and fly past Rocky Knob tomorrow as well.? If it ventured
into the valley, I doubt it will be found again.?
