David et al, We saw the Purple Gallinule around noon on Sat. 6/7. It was on
the ground and also in the bushes behind the willow tree near the parking
area of the South River Greenway in Waynesboro. It was active and very
approachable. Dave Gibson, Chesapeake

I looked for the Purple Gallinule in Waynesboro, VA at Loth Springs at 7AM
Friday and did not see it. But the grass around the springs was freshly
mowed by the city. Perhaps the mowing scared it away?
