It's pretty much in my backyard. Very good for breeding species. I've had
nearly 100 species in a day on that route, and you'll be counting hundreds of
individual birds (you can easily get at least 70 each redstarts and Red-eyed
Vireos)
As far as that article goes, there are some inaccuracies. Blue-winged,
Golden-winged, Magnolia, Mourning, and Swainson's Warblers do not breed there
(Blue- and Golden-winged used to, but the habitat matured), and with the
exception of Magnolia, would be rare. Most of those migrants are rarely
encountered as well, and Prothonotary Warbler is unpredictable at the swamp. At
best, you can expect around 18 warbler species in a trip.
There are specific places where the less common species are found on the road,
so a lot of patience or a good guide is essential.

Has anyone heard of Warbler Road?

It seems almost too good to be true and I have not seen any mention of this
by anyone through the list serve so I am curious. I am wondering if this
might be worth the time investment to go down there from the No Va area
sometime.
