Warbler Road is one of the best birding drives in the Blue Ridge. Most of
this information and route description are found on pages 73-75 (map on p.
71) in *Birds of the Blue Ridge Mountains *(University of North Carolina
Press), which also contains many other sites along the Parkway and Skyline
Drive. Used copies are available from Amazon and its secondary vendors,
many for less than $ 1.00 plus shipping.
The book is being updated with new material and revised accounts, as there
are obviously a number of changes (plant diseases, new exit number
system for interstate highways, many new sites now in conservation status,
new contact information for many sites, etc.) in the years since the first
edition was published.

It seems almost too good to be true and I have not seen any mention of this
by anyone through the list serve so I am curious. I am wondering if this
might be worth the time investment to go down there from the No Va area
