A big thanks for all the replies and the tips on the timing.
Since I am more interested in photographing birds (and because photographers
are needy creatures compared to bird watchers - you know, we want the light
behind us, lots of it, unobstructed views, and frame filling close ups) it
seems that this might have great potential for a wide variety of species. I
prefer to walk, or quietly wait and observe in a good area, since my main
objective is photography so I have to pick locations judicously.
I'll put this one on the list for a place to visit.

Warbler Rd is accesible from Bedford VA. The Virginia Beach Audubon Society
is planning a trip there the weekend of May 15, 16 & 17. We expect to see
as many as 75 species in that time frame with the concentration being
warblers.

Has anyone heard of Warbler Road?

It seems almost too good to be true and I have not seen any mention of this
by anyone through the list serve so I am curious. I am wondering if this
might be worth the time investment to go down there from the No Va area
sometime.
