I visited Windsor Castle Park in Smithfield, VA from 6:12 pm to 8:12pm. There
are good views of the Pagan River along several of the trails. Even though the
marsh appears to contain good habitat for rails, I did not hear any. There is
also a kayak/canoe launch in the park. South of the launch is a Great Blue
Heron rookery -- I counted 7 nests, but there may have been a few hidden in the
pine trees. The flyover White Ibis (heading southwest) were unexpected.
