Hog Island totally dead - no mud flats, water high. Exactly one shorebird: a
Spotted Sandpiper. We didn't walk into the interior, just stayed on the main
road, so there might well have been more birds on other ponds/empoundments.
However, on the way back, Crewe's Channel is now hosting FIVE immature White
Ibis, plus at least 4 Solitary Sandpipers.
