Hello All,
I am not sure if this sort of thing is tracked in the state of VA or even
who might be interested...
Two days ago I saw an adult osprey flying fairly low over a field and small
body of water in the Crozet, VA area. Beaver Creek Reservoir is not too far
from where I saw the bird. I was able to get a good look at it and am
certain that is what I saw. Yesterday, I saw the bird again although it was
flying very high this time.
I thought I saw one fly over my house last year and couldn't believe it. My
guess is that I am in a migration flight path since I have also seen
several bald eagles fly over and hunt in the area in the spring (Last year
there were two adults and a juvenile together).
It is exciting to me. I am new to this list serve. Has anyone else seen
them in the are?
