Oops Edel,

Forgot to add the web address for the downloads.

To download the Ad-aware software follow the instructions below and use the
following link:
1. Open up internet explorer on your desktop.

2. Do "control + O" to activate the open dialogue box.

3. Select the link below using keys "control + end key" while on the line
that the link is on then use "control + C" to copy.

4. Paste "control + V" into the internet explorer's open dialogue and press
the "enter key".

6. Wait a few moments and soon the download will begin, tab to the "run"
button and press the enter key.

What should happen is that first the ad-aware program will be downloaded to
your machine then the installation will begin.

If you are using jaws, you should also download the following scripts.

http://www.accessibleprograms.com/adaware/adaware_scripts_1.3.exe

The above scripts should be installed in a similar way to the Ad-aware
program itself but let me know if you need help with this.

Paul.

broadband connection????

Hi Edel,

The icon which you came up on the desktop of your computer is an anti
spyware program which seems to be out of date. You should uninstall this
program first then it is important to download the latest version of it from
the internet.. To uninstall it, first:

1. Go into the start menu then settings and right arrow to control
panel.
2. When in control panel, press the letter "A" till you come to "Add or
remove programs".

3. When a list of items pops up after going into Add or remove programs
this will be a list of all applications on your PC. So now you need to arrow
down through this list to find the software called "Ad-Aware".

4. Once you are on this program name tab till you come to a "remove
button" and press the enter key to begin the uninstall.

5. You maybe asked if you are sure that you want to uninstall it so you
tab key to "yes" and hit enter.

After you have completed the uninstall process, you will be just back in the
list of programs. Do "alt + F4" to close till you are back on the normal
desktop of your computer.

Now lets find the new version of the Ad-Aware software. If you use the web
site link below Edel then it will begin to download the software to your
computer. It will give you two choices of download, "Save file" or "run". I
would choose "run" so that when it is ready it will begin the installation
process. When the installing part begins just tab and answer its prompts
such as "install button or yes for to agree with the license" and then just
hit enter on any further request to install. When it is finished it will
begin to scan your computer. This part can be alittle messy so I would just
force it to close using "Alt + F4" as you won't be able to do anything
useful at this point with it. It is easier if you are a jaws user and you
have the special jaws scripts that make this program more accessible. Let me
know Edel if you are using jaws.

Regards,

Paul.
