Hi Tom,

a lot of people have been getting spy ware which they have picked up from
the internet. This harmful "malware" causes the slow down of your PC, error
messages to appear and even the entire system to crash frequently on you.
Spybot is a program much like its companion program Add-Aware also spy ware
killer program. These can both be downloaded from the below address or
perhaps Paul may know another download address that may have a more up to
date version of these programs:
http://www.jfwlite.com/programs.html

When you have installed these programs make sure to update them and then
scan your system on a regular basis and it should keep you free from
spyware.

With the addition of AVG you should be fine - perhaps Paul might like to add
something to this. I think Noreen has given the instructions on the list on
how to use Ad Aware.

Now Tom you have lots of work to get done but when they are installed it's
just a matter of getting into the habit of running them from time to time.

Loretta.

Hi Loretta,
I am afraid I will sound a bit foolish with this question. How does one get
Spybot, does one down load it from the web?. The only protection I have on
my computer is Avg, should I have some other programs as well.
regards Tom.
