Sorry Mo,

I should have used the word shift which more accurately says my problem.

Okay when I want to capitalise the say first letter of a word, that first letter on the left of the keyboard, I press the right shift key (the longish horizontal key) holding it down hitting that first letter in order to capitalise it but it remains in the lower case so I need then to hit the left shift key instead which is awkward as you can imagine.

hi tony.
on most laptops, the only caps lock key is on the left. the right hand key is a shift key, so will not function as a caps lock key.

cheers,

Mo.

Hi,

whilst on the subject of Linovo I have a Linovo netbook which is fine for me exfcept that when I want to use the right capslock key it doesn't seem to work at all whether I press it twice quickly or not.

I wonder if anyone knows a way to correct this so that I have a right capslock?

Best,

Hello Joan.

In most screen readers you can set caps lock as an insert key. This means that when you press and hold caps lock, it'll act as insert, and when you press it twice in quick succession, it'll turn caps lock on and off. Please let us know which screen reader you are using and I or others will provide more specific instructions should you require them.

all the best,

Mo.

Hi there
I just got a new Lenovo laptop in work. It doesn't have an insert key. to get insert now I need to press the function key and the page down key together which is quite awkward as they are on either side of the keyboard. Is there anything I can do to change this?

Thanks
Joan Ann.
