But it appears Apple's virtual helper went above and beyond in this
instance, being credited with saving the life of a 1-year-old Australian
girl.
When mother Stacey Gleeson noticed her daughter had stopped breathing and
was turning blue over a baby monitor, she rushed into the room and dropped

When Stacey realised she didn't have the phone in her hand, she called out:
"Hey Siri, call the ambulance."
Instead of a "Could you please repeat that?", Siri thankfully did its job
while the child could be attended to by her mother. An ambulance arrived in
time to help revive the toddler, who is now doing fine.
The moral of the story? We should all probably think twice about keeping the
always-listening function on...

speaker, similar to Google Home.
