Hi Mary,

If I may make a comment here. Using Brians instructions, just add one more
instruction to his list. That is;

After the instruction to "press keys, "insert + 6", and the configuration
file for jaws comes up, then go to the file menu and arrow down to where it
says "open default file". Now press the enter key and continue on with
Brians tutorial.

Paul.

Hi Mary,

You need to make this change for each application you use. E.g. word,
outlook etc. You must remember to save the changes when you close the jaws
configuration menu.

Let me know how you get on.

Brian.

Hello Brian

I have followed your instructions but still cannot get Jaws to read single
digit numbers. I have Jaws 7.10. Any suggestions?

Hi Jenny.

1. Press the keys insert plus j to bring up the jaws window.

2. press keys insert and 6 to hear jaws say, jaws configuration menu.

3. press alt and s and jaws will say set options menu.

4. arrow down til you hear text processing.

5. press enter and tab til you hear, number processing.

6. down arrow to single digets.

7. tab to ok and press the space bar.

8. use alt plus f4 to close configuration menu. Jaws will ask if you want to
save the changes, just say yes.

That should do it for you.
