dominique it so happens that I'm self educated. i was one day sending a text
to someone else and did as as i told you by entering the first few letters of a
persons name and there came up a name that i definitely deleted before. so
anyway i went in and sent my message and went back and played around with this
to see what was going on and just found out that they were old numbers that i
texted popped up. something which i found useful one day myself. just so you
know you can also delete these numbers out of this list by swiping across , you
get an info or edit option if you press on this you have an option to remove
from this list or something like that. sorry if I'm unclear about this to you
but i think you get my drift good luck.
regards
Vincent

Yes, that’s for sure!
Vincent where did you learn that technique? Very cool, and good to know!
Thanks for the tip buddy!

The solution Vincent gives is excellent. I have recently deleted a contact I
did not want any more and then I went to messages and started writing his name
and it came up! thanks Vincent we never stop learning.

another way to find a lost contact if its not in your recent calls list. is
to type in the first few letters of there name into the contact part of a new
text message then scroll down through the contacts that appear and you should
find it presuming you have texted this number before. and yes a full restore
does reset all setting on the phone. and this takes ages if you need anything
else just ask.

No I haven't! What's a full restore? Is that to reset all settings?

i agree with Eleanor. if you've recently contacted this person they may
still be in your recent calls so you can put them in that way if you can't
recall the number.

I would simply put it back in again manually.j if you want to restore
from iCloud then you are restoring absolutely everything on your phone. just go
to contacts and add new contact and put in the details again. of course if you
don't know the details and cannot obtain them easily again then a full restore
will be necessary.

I accidentally deleted a contact from Contacts on my iPhone, and I want

Many thanks.
