Hi John, Yeah, you don't realize what is going on below the surface, Thinking of what you said, I had an instant a while ago where I had inadvertantly downloaded the "I'm feeling lucky" search engine and only discovered it when going through add/remove programs, It was causing major problems in that the pc was slowing down and it was defaulting to a different page and coming up with a certain configuration of results and any Free items I wanted weren't listed. People should take your recommendation and housekeep regularily with this in mind. Hi Gerard, You can end those processes from the Task Manager, but they will only start up again the next time you reboot. To permanently get rid of them, open Control Panel > Programs & Features (Add/Remove Programs in XP, iirc), go through the list and remove any programs you don't want/use any more. Good luck!
