Susan,

Until your system is cleaned down to the essentials it really is not
possible to say just what is going on. This behaviour looks like adware
working in the background. You do not need to interact with Malwarebytes
once it is running. Given the fact that this very useful program is not
accessible as Paul says, could you get someone sighted to set it off for you
and confirm deletion of everything it finds after it finishes? I think this
might be best to let you move on with the solution to this problem.

You do need some cookies for legitimate interactions to work. So, you only
want to remove the malicious ones.

All the best,

Cearbhall

hi Cearbhall.

i did all those things you mentioned but when i went in to the anti- malware
it asked me if i wanted to update it and i did but for some reason it won't
work now. do you remember i went to the processes page and there was 57 went
i kept checking it and it kept creping up till last night it was at 65, now
it is down to 61. what is all that about?
will performing all this checking for viruses and that get rid of the
cookies also?
many thanks

susan
