I've now implemented my device to expose each samplerate/channel combo as a separate KSDATARANGE item, and this is dynamic, i.e. I can tear down the device, update its KSDATARANGE items, then init the device again. And it "seems" as though the control panel of Vista can handle it. What it doesn't handle seems to be channel config, if the device exposes a KSDATARANGE with max channels == 8, I still only see Stereo in "Configure". What should I expose in order to make Sound control panel expose Stereo -> 7.1 ?
