I've now implemented my device to expose each samplerate/channel combo as a separate KSDATARANGE item, and this is dynamic, i.e. I can tear down the device, update its KSDATARANGE items, then init the device again. And it "seems" as though the control panel of Vista can handle it.
Not quite. I forgot to mention that in one case I expose 44100,48000,88200,96000 as samplerates but 88200 Hz gets "dropped" in sound control panel. Why? Is the audio subsystem in Vista/Win7 hardcoded to accept only a few selected samplerates ?
