You must use a multi-channel application that supports the WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE tag. Logic Audio e.g. supports this format via EASI-MME. However, you should modify the number of channels manually via the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\emagic\EASIMME\Drivers). This is because KMixer reports 0xffff (!) number of channels to the MME API. It is a good idea to set this registry value (the actual number of channels that Logic would use) via your driver INF file. Hope this helps.
