Hi, (Sorry for this a little bit OT post, folks). The PCIe FAQ document @ http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/bus/pci/PCIe_FAQ.mspx tells that Quality of service (VC/TC and isochronous support)is not supported on any Windows version. Why has that been decided? How it can be garanteed that a sound card at PCI bus behind the PCIe-PCI bridge gets the high enough priority what is needs for low-latency performance? Is the system BIOS only responsible for that? On almost all current PCIe motherboards the are problems with audio performance so that they are not recommended for serious audio work. Without QoS support it's very difficult and expensive to pick up the right combination of components to make a DAW PC - you never know if the graphics adapter, motherboard (&CPU, dual core CPU's are another source for problems) and audio card combination is right for you. -Mikko ...................................................................
