Yes, I don't need any other PCI cards, and I'm not going to replace my E-mu 
1820m card for a while.

Strange thing is that in the document where MS gives instructions to BIOS 
programming for OEM's it's 
required that BIOS disables the other than VC0 virtual channels. However, 
PCI Express High Definition Audio Controllers, which use class code 04 and 
subclass code 03, are exempt from this requirement. 

They also say that "hardware vendors are encouraged to work with Microsoft to 
define the future direction of extended virtual channel support".

Is that requirement fair for PCI audio card users? I don't think so.
