Hi everyone, I recently purchased a USB cassette recorder, to convert cassette to MP3 files. In the user guide, I read that I needed to install the audacity software, which I did. It then informed me to leave the CD in the drive (I have an external drive), to connect the recorder to the computer via the USB chord, and follow the on screen instructions to instal the USB drivers. No on screen instructions appeared, however, but once I changed the sound card settings in jaws to real tec rather than windows default, jaws continued speaking, and the recorder was recognised by the computer. I then tried to record a tape onto audacity, but rather than picking up the tape, the recording picked up the radio, which was on in the background at the time. the cassette player also didn't play whilst connected to the computer, but played with headphones. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get my tapes on to the computer? Kind regards, Jess :)
