I agree with Denise. We've had so much discussion about something we don't
even know is a problem, for sure. I'm also confident we'll be told how to
address this issue, if indeed is really is one.

Blessings.

Since no one from Bookshare has responded to thisconversation, I'm choosing
to conduct business as usual until we hear something different. It does us
no good to speculate on solutions to something we don't even know is a
problem- officially at this point. I'd suggest we continue on as we've
always done. If our way of doing books needs modifying it'll come to us
through Pavi or Carrie.

Kim, my solution would work anyway. A third party could scan the missing
pages and submit them with a hold for the proofreader. The point isn't who
could scan the pages. The point is that the pages would be uploaded legally
by whoever scans them.

Well, what if your submitter no longer has a copy of the book so pages can
be re-scanned? The submitter of the file I was working with no longer had
the book and couldn't re-scan anything. I think I like your solution if the
submitter retains the book, but what if it (the book) is a library book and
he/she can't get it? Then that poses a problem for everyone. Regards, Kim.
