Hi all,

Angel, if the page where the text starts is labeled 9, then the previous page is labeled 8. If you don't have pgup and pgdn for your laptop, seems unlikely, then get yourself a USB keyboard, they're cheap and very useful. Plug in the blessed keyboard and you'll have your standard keys again. Just be sure to switch Jaws from Laptop to desktop again. Me, I wouldn't do any heavy editing on a laptop keyboard unless I absolutely had to do so. USB keyboards are cheap and fit in any USB slot. Get the right tool for the job.

Ok. I have a question to ask. How do I find out the different pages in microsofft word? Sence I donât have a page up p, paige down, home or end key? How would I figure that out with jaws?

Yes, count backwards and number accordingly. If you reach page one and there are still pages then number those with Roman numerals.

Hey Guys;
My question is this: in the book I am proofing chapter 1 starts on page 9. This is also true for the large print copy from which the book was scanned. Just before chapter 1 begins there are several other content pages like acknowledgments, a short poem, etc... Am I suppose to number these pages 8, 7, 6, etc... (in the large print copy the pages are not numbered as such) or am I suppose to insert blank pages to make the numbering correct so that chapter 1 begins on page 9. (E. g., [blank page] page 8; [blank page]-page 7, etc...
Hopefully this makes sense.
Thanks,
