I have never tried that method. What is the minimum for a book to be rated "good" rather than "fair" using the system you describe?

A validator could just take the book to Step 2 and do an abortive upload - that is, upload the book to Step 2 before even beginning to work on it, and then close the browser window before hitting either of the approve or reject buttons - and get a recognition figure. If it is below the minimum, then he/she can either reject at that point, or decide whether it is worth a cleanup to get it above that figure.Hopefully, in the not too distant future, books will be evaluated at submission in a similar manner to that which they undergo after validation.Evan ----- Original Message ----- From: "E." <thoth93@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, January 15, 2008 7:37 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Fair Quality Scans: No Longer AcceptedWhat is to prevent a submitter just saying the submit is "good" instead of "fair" and not improving the quality of the submit? There is nothing in the system which judges a book at time of submission is there?E.
