Hi Charlene,
One reason why people might choose to remove headers when they're validating
books is if the headers are garbled and not useful. That obviously wouldn't
be the case with your book, though unfortunately the stripper will take the
headers out. If you're really concerned about the book, this might be a good
example of when validating your own book would be a good idea. That would
ensure that no extra damage could be done. Alternatively, you could request
in the comments field that the validator not remove the headers as they are
there to protect the recipe titles.
Please do submit the book though--it sounds like you've worked hard on it,
and cookbooks are hard to scan and therefore not too plentiful. The best
recipe scanno I ever got said "Add 72/2 cups water. Adjust limes as
necessary." <lol> Limes was supposed to be times for baking times. <lol>
