Hi Jill,

You can have Kurzweil notify you when bold or italics are present by
changing voices. And you can select text and use the format menu and the
font selection there to find out what the font looks like. That is a bit
of work, but if you just need to do chapter headings (change their size) it
isn't a big chore. You can standardize the font of the entire book by
pressing control a to select the entire document, go to the edit menu, up
arrow to "format" and hit enter, hit enter on "font," select your font name,
leave things alone when K1000 tells you that some of the text is bold, and
some is in italics, set your font size by arrowing up and down to choose the
size that you want and then tab to "ok" and hit enter. Sve these changes.

It really doesn't take long. And All of the information will and
can be spoken if you choose to hear it.

Mayrie

Mayrie, Have you ever run this question by Steven Baum? When using a screen
reader, we don't know whether the font size varies or not. Also we don't
even know which words are in bold etc. And, of course, in braille or speech
it doesn't matter. Maybe I should read Kurzweil's manual about fonts since
when I have to fill in chapter titles, etc. I don't change the font.
