Susan, your session did not make anyone look or sound terrible. (smile) Many of us were doing something we'd never done before in trying to teach people how to validate books via voice chat. We had more new volunteers than experienced ones that evening, and that wasn't something you could have anticipated. We do plan to do another session on the subject in the future, and what you did is still worthwhile and does answer some key questions. We were a very new site back then, and we're learning how to serve people well as we try things. Anything worth doing is worth doing badly at first because it's how we learn to do things better next time. (smile) Your presentation does cover several important concepts for new volunteers, and I feel good about that. As we grow in experience, we will produce better presentations. I think Nan might agree that this is how groups of people learn to work together to do something truly special and worthwhile.

Nan,

The validation session which I did in the Bookshare Community room was awful
because not many people who validate showed up. You really may not find it
very helpful at all. It makes me sound and look terrible!
