When you say Word's page breaks, I believe you are talking about soft page breaks. If so, this is correct. That said, I usually set all my margins to 1 inch and set the paper size to custom, which I set at 8.5 by 22. This eliminates almost all soft page breaks. When I do this, Word says that some margins are set outside the printable area, but I tell it to ignore that. All this is done in the page setup dialog in the file menu in Word versions prior to 2007. I'd have to take a look at my Dad's computer to see where to find it in 2007 and beyond, but I'd hazard to guess that it would be in the page layout ribbon.
