Kim, books run anywhere from about a 4 inch by 6 inch mass market paperback
to really rather large hard backs. Usually the really large hardbacks are
what they call coffee table books, and contain lots of pictures. At least
those are the really large ones I've seen. However, just because it is one
size in print, doesn't mean it will be the same size after OCR. Legal size
is 14 inches long and I can't remember if it is 8.5 inches wide, or a little
wider. I'm thinking the executive is the one that is a littler wider. That
is if you have it set to portrait. If you have it set to landscape it would
be wider than it is tall. However, you can quickly check the dimensions of
any setting by tabbing past the dialog box where you select between letter,
legal, etc. The first box tells you the width, and the second tells you the
height.
