Hi, Melissa, thanks much for the information. I know print books come in different sizes. Have a great week and best regards, Kim. -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Melissa Smith Sent: Sunday, March 14, 2010 3:38 AM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Word's page breaks Kim, books run anywhere from about a 4 inch by 6 inch mass market paperback to really rather large hard backs. Usually the really large hardbacks are what they call coffee table books, and contain lots of pictures. At least those are the really large ones I've seen. However, just because it is one size in print, doesn't mean it will be the same size after OCR. Legal size is 14 inches long and I can't remember if it is 8.5 inches wide, or a little wider. I'm thinking the executive is the one that is a littler wider. That is if you have it set to portrait. If you have it set to landscape it would be wider than it is tall. However, you can quickly check the dimensions of any setting by tabbing past the dialog box where you select between letter, legal, etc. The first box tells you the width, and the second tells you the height.
