She feels strongly that the absence of her father and his rejection after
returning from war, plus a lot of childhood abuse, were involved in her
gender dysphoria. I find her a strikingly beautiful human being who is WHO I
AM -following her inner drives, with a graceful naturalness. I suspect that
social mores are pushing some people into identifying One or the Other when
a mix is more fit. Even if the mix is between personality and body, that IS
an appropriate way to be oneself. I do think she is looking forward to the
double mastectomy (cancer) for 'being me' reasons, tho. I'm honored to walk
along at the side of her path.
