I had an experience at my last constellation workshop I'd like to share. A
woman came in about her adult son, who I felt was hopeless, and that proved
true. So I asked her what she wanted for herself, and did a piece on her
lineage which was quite powerful. Then turned to her son. He was definitely
gone. His life was broken and in pieces - he said over and over. So we left it
there after I couldn't get anywhere with him. (In fact he is in prison.) The
next day she e-mailed and asked - what if I had asked him to do it for me? I
thought about it and the only answer that came to me is - accept what is.
Then I went to a seminar with my teacher, Heinz Stark, who confirmed that I did
the right thing by leaving it. Sometimes just seeing things as they really are
is what's needed for the soul. All we can do as constellators is bring light to
the situation - show what is.
Two weeks later the client e-mailed again and said that's what her therapist
had been trying to tell her and told her again, she can't do anything for her
son, and this time she accepted it. (I didn't know she was seeing a therapist.)
