Dear Margie,
I'm not certain that this answers your entire question, but perhaps this
is a piece of the discussion.
Last Tuesday night at my intro to constellations evening I had colleague, a
woman who is well-versed in shamanic work, to show up to explore the work.
She has done a lot of energetic embodiment work from other traditions. In
the intro evenings I only offer generic constellations along the lines of
"who would like to represent a tree in a nature landscape?" I do not offer
personal work.
She went very deeply into her representations, even when I thought that the
representation would be very 'light'. I could see that it took her a very
long time to come back to herself, despite all of the tools I know for
de-roling a representative. It was more than slightly alarming to me.
This has caused me to think about how I could approach this situation when
it comes up again. I most definitely want to include a lot more "this is me
/ the person whom I am representing is not-me" language into my
introductory discussion before we begin.
I've had some brushes with this with other representatives whose sense of
self is more 'porous', as well.
I hope you might find this info somewhat helpful.
Best,
Jeffrey

Dear fellow facilitators et al.
First, thank you! I am new to the group and very glad to be part of it.
I have a group of keen people learning over the next nine months to
facilitate the family constellations work. I have been asked two questions
that I cannot answer: 1. For whom might this work be a dangerous trigger?
2. What kind of
person might be dangerous to have as a representative?
The woman who asked was particularly wondering about someone with
schizophrenia, but her question is also wider that this.
Many thanks,
Margie
