as Linda Sussman puts it, it nurtures an invisible web of relationship that
connect individual destiny to service of others and to the earth. Another

was very grateful for it.
Since some time I was following the discussions and simply felt a
touch overwhelmed by it all. Nevertheless I was looking for a way to
join, not to widen the "split" but to actually hint out how
beneficial it might be.
My personal view on it:
In many of my former years of a facilitator and trainer I was
immensely grateful about Bert Hellinger's findings (and still am). Up
from a certain point I simply had to explore more of my own. And I
did find some of my own discoveries contradictory to his, so I
eventually chose to follow my own path. This certainly went together
with my discomfort at some of his interpretations and interventions,
so I simply stopped to look in his direction for further learning and
-found plenty of new sources in what colleagues of mine discovered
and what I found useful in other methods and interventions (shamanic
world views and mostly Somatic Experiencing) .
Coming from a world of spiritual seekers ("Sannyasins" ), known as
followers of the mystic Osho whom I met in 1980, what is happening
seems vaguely familiar. And yes, it has a cult smell, and what I see
is: some people are very happy with Bert's (and Sofie's) new ways,
gain a lot from it, and some are simply taking a different path.
I count myself to the different path people. Once having tasted an
enlightened master's presence, Osho, Punjajee and Sufi-Baba (and
maybe some I did not recognize), I for myself claim to know the
difference. If his wife calls him enlightened and is happy with it:
great. If he accepts it and is happy with it: great. If people are
drawn to this and are happy with it, great.
I am simply not drawn to him any more and I believe the happening
separation to be very beneficial for all of us. Growth pains, like
loosing positions in the public world and ending up on lists as
potential cult members is all part of finding our very own position
jet again. This feels precious to me, even if it means to reconsider
a lot of what we value and what gives us a sense of security. It
might ultimately lead us to become clearer about a lot of choices we
made in our life's and reconsider.
I want to express my full appreciation to the team who wrote the
Open Letter of Clarification from the DGfS and ISCA. Not, because I
agree with everything written in it, I would have liked it to be much
more daring, less cautious, but that is me. I appreciate the time and
effort spend to take a stand, and quite frankly it is like that:
I simply enjoy a lot more spending time around you all (the ones I
know) than with Bert or Sofie. And that is ultimately what makes me
decide whom I trust and with whom I choose to move and associate.
