I think the energy in the example constellations is really interesting.
Possibly we access a sort of archetype energy.
Maybe it is a bit like where the energy comes from in the writing of a novel or
a movie - we could equate the novelist with the faciliator but because there
are more people than the facilitator involved it could be the creative
interaction of the energy connections of each group participant (including the
observers).
To understand its relevance to the particular group where there is no specific
client maybe it is important to ask 'who benefits?' In the immediate space it
will probably be more relevant to certain participants than to others. When we
do example constellations we are looking at situations or dynamics and the
opportunity is there to learn things we didn't realise, to understand more
about the complexity of the self and the group, to increase our outrage, our
compassion, our acceptance, and to open us fully to the experience of being
human. The benefit to those who are not present is like the ripple effect - as
we do our own work we change our dance steps, because we change the space
becomes available for others to change.

I appreciate immensely your points. And I also agree that we should workonly
with people that consciously ask for help. With that said I think I wasn't clear
about my question. My question is ifyou are just exemplifying a family order,
where there is no client. Only thefacilitator expressing the structure of a
family. If that example developsinto a constellation, especially in terms of
energy, then who'sconstellation is that? What information are we
accessing?Thanks for all your answers.BernardoOn Sun, Sep 21, 2008 at 6:16 PM,
