Here is my update and response regarding the Family Constellations page on
Wikipedia.
I found a more neutral image and replaced the previous one. The photo comes
from a workshop in Hong Kong produced by Arden Wong. www.GentleMedicine.info
<http://www.gentlemedicine.info/> . He gave permission for its use. Since the
process is more commonly done with live representatives than figurines, it
feels more fitting to use a photo of people.
I made the change suggested by Barbara Morgan.
Wikipedia is meant to be editable by anyone. In practice, certain pages are
watched over by vigilant editors who persistently revert any changes. Anyone
is free to make further changes or improvements.
There is obviously a wide diversity of viewpoints about what Constellations are
and how they can be described. The Wikpedia page is probably not the best
vehicle for hashing these all out.
The page mostly serves people who hear about Constellations for the first time
and go on-line to learn about them. Many of these readers will be prospective
clients or those considering attending a workshop for the first time. The
Wikipedia page should be written with these readers in mind.

Dear Dan,
It is true what you say about the photo. However in this wiki description of
family constellation it is an accurate representation of the words that
accompany the photo. The words also suggest that FC follows the past
philosopies, rituals and paths of a few persons who (upon my research) seem to
have had a passion more for science and mathamatics than true phenomenonology.
I agree with Barbara that these associations and attempted linkages to
Hellinger are inappropriate and void of any true and substantial foundation.
Perhaps it is time to review our present "Status Quo" that no longer serves the
group creatively. I support a rewriting of not only wikipedia but the
introductions and overviews of ISCA's website to be more inclusive, present and
less weighted by irrelevant past. Perhaps as a group, we are presently being
challenged to live Virginia Satir's "models for change" and "emergence"? If so
we are able to feel "the resistance and the chaos"
and......and......are we able to pay the price for change?
PS: I have to say it Dan..........I personally love the photo!
Kind regards from snowy Finland on holiday
Sadhana

Subject: [ConstellationTalk] Wikipedia Page on Family Constellations
Greetings -
A reader pointed out that the photo used on the Family Constellations
Wiklpedia page shows everyone in the same color tone of clothing and sitting
on cushions. This suggests that Constellations are a religious ritual or
identified with a particular spiritual path. It would be more representative
to use an image that is more neutral. I do not have a suitable photo in my
possession. Wikipedia does not allow photos grabbed off the Internet used
without permission.

Does anyone have a suitable photograph? You are welcome to place on the page
yourself. If that is technically challenging, send an attachment or link to
Dan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:Dan%40HiddenSolution.com> and my intern will
load it.
Wikipedia, allows anyone to edit the text. Feel free. Or that could be a
task for a small number of CT members to take on.
