Hello Everyone!
On the subject of rape as a traumatic experience, it needs to be understood
that this not just a cognitive experience. Requiring that a client with
this issue articulate with any degree of specificity how this trauma has
affected their lives can be counter productive. If you observe Bert Hellinger
or Peter Levine working with this issue they rarely request specifics. In
SCW The Field often shows that which is most important for the client and
also for the rapist and a path to resolution.
John L. Payne's book, The Healing of Individuals, Families and Nations,
offers excellent guidelines for working with rape in SCW.
Warm Regards.
