Hi John and all,
I also have an Axiom 49 and would be interested in any tutorial on setting
up the Axiom with Sonar on the accessible tip.

I've got it to work in some ways but know it should be able to do more (like
assigning the faders and knobs to effects etc.). I probably missed a simple
step here or there based on the stuff I've dug up online. So, if you put
something together John, I'd definitely be interested.

Thanks,

Thanks, I think I've figured some more out, but let me check on this.
So I've set most of it up except for doing one thing on the axiom. Now
since the sliders and such are all assignable, I actually have to do act
learn on each control right? I have to go into the preset thing and left
click, and move the thing I want to be slider one, knob one, etc.
Then I save the preset, overwriting the factory default?

I didn't want to do that, I have no idea where these presets live so I
couldn't get a copy, but when I did move a slider after doing act learn on
it, it did change the volume of the track. Although I guess since it has a
restore defaults button, maybe it keeps an original copy of the preset
somewhere, I have no idea. This wasn't too hard to set up but I had to do
some digging, so I think when I get finished I'll write something up about
it. Plus some of the other setup might help with anybody else who has a
midi controller and is wondering what the hell to do with it.
