Hey Bill,
You're correct; anything post JFW 15 won't run on Windows XP or earlier. as
they stripped the older Windows coding out. I believe that was to remain
compliant with the Microsoft empire; if you know what I mean.
By the way, have a merry Christmas; and a happy, healthy, and prosperous New
Year. I might just give you a jingle over the holidays.

CakeTalking and SONAR
Hello, Steve,
See if you can get a copy of Windows7. If you fail, contact us as we have
bought up a small pile of Windows7 licenses. I urge you to do so because
CakeTalking 8.8 will not run on any Windows version post Windows7.
You'll need to upgrade your JAWS as JAWS 9 will not run under Windows7 as
far as I know.
See http://www.dancingdots.com/prodesc/CakeTalkingOrdering.htm for current
pricing on upgrades from SONAR 7 and CakeTalking 7.
Get a PC with a minimum of 4 gigs of RAM but 8 preferable.
You probably already have an audio interface you like, right? Otherwise,
you can probably find one of the Roland Quad-Capture or one of the Saffire
interfaces that some of our subscribers like a lot.
If you want to chat, call us at +1 610 783 6692. I do not know any builders
of DAW's (digital audio workstation PC's) in the UK. We have had our
supplier, ADK, build some DAW's for people in western Europe. But if you
find someone in your country who can do a good job, you save all of that
additional shipping expense.
