Wow, that's quite the set-up!
have you ever checked out something like the Behringer DEQ2496
digital EQ? It apparently can use a reference microphone and pink
noise to determine possible room correction EQ curves.
That could eliminate some of the trial and error.
I don't know how accessible that unit is, but that sort of analysis
isn't a new idea.
