Hi Chris,I do use the LP64 I especially like the preset Analogue warmth as that has a very warm rich sound.
I have a mix of this track that I think sounds ok, I send my MP3 demos to Darren Hartland from this list and Paul Leishman (occasional user of this list)
They are both very good at explaining where I may have gone wrong.I don't put my music on You Send It or the like as I'm not quite sure how to do it.
My computer and I have an understanding, I only do what I know for sure and it does what it's told or else I'll turn it into the first square Frisbee and see have far it flies from my bedroom window.
Thanks again for your help, Steve W----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Smart" <chris_s@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Steve.I think the important control to get a grasp of is the Q parameter, which controls how narrow or wide a particular boost or cut is. The higher the Q value, the narrower the boost or cut. A very low Q will affect a wider group of frequencies and accomplish, along with the frequency and gain parameters plus whether you have things set to low or high pass, shelving, or peak/dip, will let you accomplish with one band what would take many bands on a graphical EQ.Do you have a control surface? Being able to zero in on a problem frequency by turning an actual knob might be very helpful. Turn the gain of the band up high so the problem resonance really jumps out at you.If you are mastering a fully mixed track, have you tried the LP64 Linear Phaze EQ? You might get more transparent results with that, compared to the Sonitus EQ.Chris PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
