Ok. Last night my Axiom 61 wasn't working right -- the soft wynths would play,
but the Axiom wouldn't record. So I rebooted. Then I had to change the Input
and Output settings because they had changed. I'm use to doing this now, but I
don't know why these things happen occasionally. Is the latest firmware on the
Tascam website?

But...I cannot find out why the Master slider on the FW 1884 isn't controlling
the master volume, and it's just on a certain group of songs. Baffling. I
think I'm going to wipe out all AUX sends and buses except for the Master bus
on a song, save it, and then reboot. I don't think this will do anything, but
I've got to try something. But I have noticed that on these certain songs, the
output volume of the Master bus is way above 0 while the tracks assigned to the
master bus are below 0 db. Maybe I'm overdriving the buses somehow. Whatever
the case, the Master slider should control the overall volume.

Thanks Robert and Jack for your comments.Oh, to answer your other question--my
originals seem to cover all forms of music while my band plays primarily
country and classic rock Fun (grin). Thanks for asking.
