I've been to Sound on Sound's site and got their glossary. That
helped--sort of.

I did a search for the book you recommended by the way. The Library of Congress 
doesn't have it. Neither does RFB or Bookshare.

yes well, CakeTalking will help with that, along with any good book 
on audio, recording, mixing etc. Tons of articles online as well.
There are magazines too, like Mix, Sound on Sound, the Tape OP 
Newsletter etc.
