Tom, get rid of your doubts man, we'll make sure your DAW is good to go. Once
we finish the build we'll visit the interface options and make sure you get
something that will work. Allot of people here use machines that are not built
as DAWs or are not proper configured, which leads to all the issues they are
having. A good audio interface would rarely be the cause of such issues.

Subject: [ddots-l] Interface apprehension
List, I am getting nervous because I am having a daw built "NOW" and I am
hearing a lot of chatter about drop-outs, crashes, and questionable interfaces.
Three questions:
Are these problems the norm or are they the exception to the rule?
Are there any interfaces that I can confidently work wit or should I expect
trouble from all?
And maybe a third:
If I am to compose and record the best that I can, should I prepare myself to
plumb the bowels of my daw?
I'm starting to feel some doubt.
thanks for indulging me.
