Thanks Floyd, he certainly has nothing to worry about, but given all the
chatter the concern is justifiable I guess.
Which Motu unit did you get? What is your experience, mainly with accessibility
of the hardware and software (control panel/app)?
TIA for any info you can provide.
Regards, DJX

Hi Thomas,
I think most of the chatter you're hearing is about older systems and
interfaces. I would assume you'll be getting Windows 10 and an appropriately
newer version of a screen reader.
I wouldn't worry to much about interfaces. A whole lot of them out there and
most are very good.
I personally have used MOTU for many years without any issues and have a brand
new version with my new system etc.
No problems whatsoever. And it sounds tremendous.
Hope this helps,
Floyd...

am hearing a lot of chatter about drop-outs, crashes, and questionable
interfaces.
Three questions:
Are these problems the norm or are they the exception to the rule?
Are there any interfaces that I can confidently work wit or should I
expect trouble from all?
And maybe a third:
If I am to compose and record the best that I can, should I prepare
myself to plumb the bowels of my daw?
I'm starting to feel some doubt.
thanks for indulging me.
