If you just want a 2-in interface, there are quite a few options. Tascam,
Mackie, FocusRite, RME, Roland, even Yamaha make some. Companes like
Behringer and Allen & Heath have mixers that serve as audio interfaces as
well. What you want to look at is driver stability, accessibility of the
control panel (if needed), and the quality of the hardware. Also, depending
on your computer system, what connectivity options you have available.
Do you just want 2 ins? If you think you might want to expand later, you can
probably go a bit higher; you'll quickly find out that you can never have
too many inputs, specially if you are a guitarist :)

Subject: [ddots-l] More discussion about audio enterfaces

Hello:
I thought I'd throw my questions out there about audio interfaces.
Like I previously mentioned, I am working to get a new system from DD.
I wanted to go for the Mackie Onyx 820i
mixer, but after doing some research on that, it sounded a bit to much for
me as a new user.
I took a look at the roland quad capture I think its called this sounds more
like what I might want.
I need 1 or 2 mic inputs, and a stereo phone input. so I can run my
processors that have a left and right jack one for each channel.
Do any of you use this one?
or perhaps you have other ideas?
I don't mind having to over dub so tons and tons of inputs aren't a must at
this point nor a cost a part of my budget.
Thanks so much.
