Yeah, it seems to have been that one usb port. I'm not sure why it happened
though. it was coinsidental with the power outage though.
I hope that it doesn't happen again as well

crapped out on you? It must not be your cable as you got it back up again -

Hi all,
Thanks for all the suggestions. I finally got the soundcard up and running
again. My dad switched over one of the usb ports and it started working
again. We were at it all day yesterday and were about to give up. I'm
delighted it is all back up and running now though. I'm not sure if it was
related to the power outage though.
