to put it another way, a single input on a piece of professional audio gear is almost always mono.

Try panning the track to the center in Sonar, or if that doesn't work, pan that input to the center in your audio interface's control pannel software.

Just a suggestion. That's what I had to do here with a single microphone and my Focusrite interface.

Each time I try to record an audio track using Sonar, I only get sound out of one speaker as soon as I arm the track. The only solution seems to be to press the interleave button on each audio track to set everything to mono, but I don't want to record that way if I don't have to. I came up with this solution by reading section 7 of the Caketalking manual, but perhaps there is something I missed. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
