Hello, Mark,

Try the following:

Close all programs.

Run CheckWindowsSettings from the submenu of CakeTalking 8.8. If any
problems reported, review the document

1SettingsWindows7

In CakeTalking's setup documents folder.

Run ResetSONARToolBars from the submenu of CakeTalking 8.8.

Also, if you have not done so already, you may need to disable User Account
Control. See directions in that

1SettingsWindows7

Document.

Bill

Subject: [ddots-l] Trouble with new installation

Trouble with new installation on Win7 machine.
I am retiring my old xp machine, 12 years old, has done a great job but it
is time.
I have everything installed, Sonar 8.5 patch 3 along with caketalking.
Here is the first problem I have encountered.
When I use the f8 and f9 to select a section of an audio track, and using
control enter, unable to use such things as copy delete and so on.
However, if I do an alt enter select all, everything works.
Also it is constantly screamming for me to press f6.
I have already deleted everything and started and completed the second
installation.
No change.
Most likely, this is just the begining of my headaches.
Do these things ever go without a hitch without a huge battle?
Thanks hope you all can help.
Mark
